The Association of Lutheran Development Executives (ALDE) is governed by its Board of Directors with programmatic responsibilities residing with the eight Teams.

1. Offer excellent and effective educational programming to ALDE members and other core consitutencies.
2. Serve as a resource for the advancement of the profession.
3. Launch an integrated marketing plan that builds the image, reputation, and visibility of the Association of Lutheran Development Executives.
4. Initiate an effective membership growth plan.
5. Strengthen the base of volunteer leadership.
6. Increase the financial resources necessary to achieve ALDE's mission and values.
