Great Rivers (St. Louis) Chapter of ALDE

Thursday, October 8:  Leadership Annual Giving:  Building the Pipeline

The Bentz Whaley Flessner webinar, "Leadership Annual Giving: Building the Pipeline," will be held Thursday, October 8, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Central Time.  The presentation will be given by Jennifer Mc Donough.

Presenter:
Jennifer McDonough is a partner at Bentz Whaley Flessner and has more than 10 years experience with the firm.  Ms. McDonough has broad expertise in the design and leadership of overall advancement programs; strategic planning; staff, board, volunteer and institutional partner training and the organization, execution and evaluation of campaigns.  Her consulting practice has focused on higher education while also including organizations in the healthcare, arts and cultural arenas. Ms. McDonough previously served as vice president for university advancement at the University of Buffalo and as vice president for development and alumni relations at the University of Vermont.  The scope of her oversight at these institutions included major comprehensive campaigns and annual, major and planned giving, constituent development, prospect research, advancement services, development communications, donor relations and alumni and parent relations programs.

Topic:
The most effective annual giving programs are those that truly function as contributory to major and planned gift qualification and cultivation efforts.  The familiar donor pyramid is often well supported at the top and at the base by personnel and programs.  It is that middle level that can be overlooked, compromising the movement of prospects along the giving continuum.  This Webinar will focus on best practices surrounding leadership annual giving programs within the larger context of the full advancement enterprise as a generator of funds, a feeder to the prospect pipeline and a purposeful destination for prospects and donors deemed to be at too low a level for assignment and attention by your institutions major gifts team.
