We have just mailed you a letter regarding amendments to the ALDE Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws. It should be showing up in your mailbox over the next week.
Enclosed with the letter are revised Articles of Incorporation, plus a ballot requesting your vote.
The Amendments to the Articles of Incorporation accomplish the following:
- Change the name of the corporation to Association for Christian Fundraising.
- Change the qualification for membership in the corporation from Lutheran to professional fundraising individuals who value and have an affinity for/or interest in the practice of fundraising through the lens of Christian values for Tax Exempt Organizations.
- Change the number of Directors to be at least ten, but possibly more, as set forth in the Bylaws of the corporation.
To further explain the proposed changes, we are hosting a Town Hall meeting on Friday, September 30, at 3:00 p.m. Central Time. During this Town Hall you will be able to ask questions to inform your vote.
Note that your ballot is due back no later than October 15, 2022. Please return it as soon as possible after receipt.
