We are currently working on solidifying details for the 2013 Study Days to bring you an even better experience, but you can click here for initial information on the event. We do know it will be on two Thursdays, Sept. 12 and 19, 2013 (the sessions are different on each day, so you’ll want to attend both). Also, please see below to get an idea of what we've offered in the past. Save the dates!
The CFRE Study Days Are For You
Whether you are new to development, are preparing to take the CFRE exam or are an experienced professional, the ALDE CFRE Study Days are for you.
The event was originally developed to solely be a prep course for those about to take the CFRE exam. It certainly is a great option for people at that stage of their career. But the sessions have such high-quality educational content that they are also an excellent introduction for those who are new to the field, as well as a valuable review for experienced individuals.
The Study Days are September 13 & 20, 2012 (it's a two-day class, so you will want to attend both days) 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Central. Please note for your own planning purposes that your CFRE exam application must be postmarked by August 24, 2012, in order to take the exam between October 26-December 1, 2012. You can still participate in the CFRE Study Days if you intend to take the exam in 2013 or later.
The Study Days feature over seven total hours of webinar format presentation, led by CFREs with years of knowledge, and experience giving educational presentations. The course is divided into five modules, based on the CFRE domains:
- Current & Prospective Donor Research - Heather McGinness, CFRE
- Securing the Gift & Relationship Building - Jeri Pat Gabbert, CFRE
- Management & Accountability - Mark Hofman, CFRE
- Volunteerism - Lori Werbeckes, CFRE
- Marketing/Communications - Bonnie O'Neill Meyer, CFRE

Also, please share this opportunity with your friends and colleagues. At just $125 it's an incredible value - many other organizations charge much more than twice or thrice this rate. Members of AFP and other groups - please share this with your local chapters and fellow members, and be sure to pass it on to your professional development/education chair or leader. We want to make sure as many as possible are aware of this important course since ALDE is one of only a select few organizations that even offer a CFRE prep course. Please feel free to use this flier to share CFRE Study Days.
Instead of charging one fee for site hosts and then another for attendees, all participants will be charged a
simple, flat fee of $125. You can just attend from your home or office, but forming a chapter or local study group is highly recommended as doing so will be conducive to on-site discussion and networking. Again, be sure to invite non-ALDE members. Doing so will not only increase the quality of discussion, but will show development professionals all that ALDE has to offer. No one else comes close to providing such a great educational value, and ALDE is a 2012 Approved Provider for CFRE Continuing Education, so these Study Days can be counted for your CFRE CE points.

Study Days content is based on the CFRE Exam domains as determined by CFRE International. ALDE is not able to provide actual exam questions and does not guarantee what content will or will not appear on the CFRE exam.
