Are you feeling the pressure to reach bigger goals ASAP?
Do you need fresh strategies for long-term mission sustainability?
Are you noticing how stress within your organization is impacting your mission?

Come hear creative perspectives from two colleagues who are investing in big ideas that require game-changing approaches to mission.

We will hear short presentations from each speaker, and include plenty of time for dialogue and Q &A.

Presenters: David Fuerst, Associate Vice President, Global Relationships & Resources, Lutheran World Relief, and Frances Roen, CFRE, Founder and CEO of Fundraising Sol

Pentagon Park Meeting

Dave FuerstDave Fuerst leads a team of donor advisors throughout the U.S. who engage individuals and congregations in supporting LWR’s work around the world. He has twenty-plus years of experience in development and fundraising work for Lutheran causes.

Dave has held advancement positions at Tabitha Health Care Services in Lincoln, Nebraska; the ELCA Foundation; and Lutheran Planned Giving Services.

He has volunteered in many capacities for his local congregation, campus ministry, and professional organizations. He is currently the Board President of ALDE. He holds a Bachelor of Science in social services administration from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska.

Frances Roen, CFRE, is a Georgia girl at heart, and is always on the lookout for a perfectly fried piece of chicken. Frances has nearly 20 years of fundraising experience, having held development positions at The Bakken Museum, Augustana Care Corporation, and YouthLink, where she was responsible for raising over $30 million in philanthropic giving.

In 2019, Frances founded Fundraising Sol in an effort to help nonprofit professionals nourish their sols (sic) through the joy, connection, and community that a healthy fundraising program can provide. Fundraising Sol operates on the core belief that the health of your team is inextricably linked to the health of your nonprofit. Frances holds degrees from the University of Georgia and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and is a CFRE.
